Frappe HRMS handles payroll compliance for three of the most regulatory-intensive geographies: UAE, India, and the UK. Each requires distinct configuration.
UAE Payroll Configuration
WPS: Enable WPS in Payroll Settings. Configure your company WPS agent code. Add IBAN for each employee. Frappe HRMS generates the Salary Information File (SIF) in MOHRE format for bank upload.
End-of-Service Gratuity: Less than 5 years: 21 calendar days basic salary per year. 5+ years: 30 calendar days per year, capped at 2 years total. Frappe HRMS calculates EOSG automatically based on start date, basic salary, and termination reason.
India Payroll Configuration
PF: Employee 12% of basic, employer 12% (3.67% EPF + 8.33% EPS). ESI: Employee 0.75%, employer 3.25% of gross (applicable up to INR 21,000/month). TDS Section 192: Configure income tax slabs, employee investment declarations. Frappe HRMS calculates monthly TDS and generates Form 16. Professional Tax: Configure PT slabs per state for multi-state employers.
UK Payroll Configuration
PAYE: Configure income tax bands and personal allowance for the current tax year. Frappe HRMS supports the UK April-March tax year with cumulative PAYE calculation.
National Insurance: Employee Class 1 NI: 8% between Primary Threshold and Upper Earnings Limit. Employer NI: 13.8% above Secondary Threshold.
Pension Auto-Enrolment: Minimum contributions: Employee 5%, Employer 3% of qualifying earnings. Configure pension scheme details (NEST, NOW:Pensions, or private scheme).
